Jesse Jarosz Is Making Discontinued Custom for KA-BAR Again

You heard it right. Jesse Jarosz and KA-BAR are once again making discontinued custom for KA-BAR again. This knife is known as the Beartooth, and it’s the most affordable design by Jarosz currently available.

The Beartooth is considered a durable mid-size folder knife, without all the fancy new mechanisms of Jesse Jarosz’s more expensive blades. Some people may actually prefer this, as all those advanced features sometimes get in the way of what’s most important about a blade. It’s usability.

The blade is 3.5 inches and features 5Cr15MoV stainless steel with a classic clip point. This steel is quite similar in performance to 440A. The blade is coated gray and the blade sports a thumb stud for easy opening and closing.

The handle is tapered and has a slightly curved spine. Scales are G-10 and are placed upon steel liners. The knife itself weighs 5.6 ounces, which is about right for a knife this size.

This knife is actually quite similar to a long-discontinued knife named the Archon, albeit with some key changes and improvements.

As far as I know, this is the first design Jarosz has released with KA-BAR since the Jarosz flipper, which was released in 2018.

The Beartooth has an MSRP of $25.54, so it is actually quite affordable in comparison to the rest of Jarosz’s knives. It should be available for sale soon.
